Did you forget your reusable bag?

TRADER JOE’S does an excellent job of posting signs outside of stores that read “Did you forget your reusable bag?” Everytime I go (like everyday), and I forget to bring in my recycled bags or reusable bags, the signs remind me to go back to my car and gettum. thanks TJs.

FURTHERMORE- You should NEVER (hardly) have to have the bagger at a grocery store get you a plastic bag. I have so many bags that I could reuse them for the rest of my life. Yes- it’s a goal.

EVERY GROCERY STORE should post “Did you forget your reusable bag?” outside their stores. In fact, I think it should be the LAW.

REJECTION- a question for the boys

How do you turn someone down? I HAVE STRUGGLED WITH THIS CONCEPT SINCE 6TH GRADE. I broke up with my 6th grade boyfriend in a letter. I didn’t know how else to do it.

seriously though, I have issues with telling boys I’m not interested in them when they are interested in me. I HATE HURTING THEIR FEELINGS BECAUSE I KNOW REJECTION SUCKS. Instead, I often just blow them off, and stop returning their calls, and don’t officially say anthing- essentially I disappear. This is rude & i know it.

I think the main reason I ever hold myself back in life is because I’m afraid of rejection. (aren’t we all)

So, boys, please tell me how I can let you down NICELY and NOT hurt your feelings?

An aquaintance advised me to simply say, “No Thank You” when a guy come onto me. I never took this advice, because I think its weird to say “No Thank You” to a guy, and a bit snotty. Snottiness sucks.

If you haven’t heard of “Twilght” by Stephanie Meyer you are clearly living under a ROCK. This 4 book saga about a vampire & human love story is taking the world by storm. The books and movie (now in theatres!) is like the plague- spreading fast!

Naturally, I have read the first book (working on the second now) and I saw the movie last weekend. As many people do, I FELL IN LOVE WITH THE FIRST BOOK! It’s great and I recommend it to all girls out there (guys steer clear) but I am a harsh critic when it comes to book movies. I always like to read the books first, and then judge the movie adaptation off of the original. It’s all about the original.

So I liked the movie. Genuinely I thought the script was well done and the director did a great job keeping many things true to the book (lines, colors, details, etc.).

I was mainly unhappy with 1 aspect: character choices. I unlike the rest of the world am NOT in love with Rob Pattinson (plays Edward Cullen, the love interest) and I don’t think he fits the character well. I am looking for someone with a more soothing voice, more muscle, and more sex appeal. He doesn’t do it for me. I was also unhappy with the Dr. Cuellen actor choice, as well as the Rosalie actress choice. They are both supposed to be these superhuman beautiful people with perfect bodies.

Let’s just say I was disappointed.

Why should you read my blog? (from a business standpoint)

Because I know what’s up. Seriously. I have an uncommon natural knack for picking what is gonna be hot, uber popular, and annoyingly mainstream.

While this may be a reason NOT to read my blog, I believe it is. Premeditating what is going to be a hit in the future is a competitive advantage, any business person knows. I myself, having a business degree, know firsthand this is the key to success in business- if that’s what your into.

I simply take satisfaction and enjoy when something I predict is gonna blow up- actual does. Warm fuzzy feelings.

EXAMPLES (any good business person knows that every idea needs evidence to support it):

1. Perez Hilton. Perez (Mario Lavandeira) has made himself a world renowned blogger, television personality, and enemy of all celebrities. I started reading Perez Hilton 3 years ago in college, as a distraction from doing homework. I was introduced to it by a friend in one of my marketing classes. The site was addicting, and I have been a loyal fan ever since.

2. Facebook. How long have YOU been on Facebook? I’ve been on for 5 years now. My friend Abby introduced me to the site and I found its ease of use and exclusivity appealing. Facebook was once just a site for college friends to network, now it rivals MySpace and has recently surpassed MySpace in size.

Coldplay- confetti obsession? or lazy?

Did anyone else notice that on Sunday’s American Music Awards show Coldplay released red & white confetti on the crowd…? ok, good.

Did you ALSO notice it was the SAME EXACT confetti they used last year when performing at the MTV Movie Awards in June? Hmm, I guess I notice details. and have a sensational memory.

coincidence? or they are just freaking obsessed with confetti. They probably thought no one would notice the repeated visual affect. HA!
